It's been a great trip for us. I need new RV batteries..long story you don't need to read..we can live in a 20ft space without hurting one another. We are almost home..another day or two and we'll be in the drive-way.
I am glad some of you sort of followed along and looked st the pictures. It is what I enjoy doing. I always admired Tioga George and his Blog...his income was, at it's height, $1,000 a month. I'd like to have the discipline to do that.
The snow seems to be coming in....maybe another 4 wheel drive day. I am not a total 4 wheel geek...I bought this RV because I wanted clearance and man, it has that. But I was sold on it when I first used it in the deserts of California some years ago and have never regretted buying it. I have used the 4 wheel advantage 4? times this trip..last time was a high pass between John Day and Prineville..in 4hi. For those that do not quite understand...in 4-lo you are in slow motion, almost. Very low gearing that gets you thru stuff..over stuff. Four hi will allow me to drive to a much higher rate of speed on a paved road but still have the front pulling and the rear driving...giving much better steering control. Anyway...if you ever were considering? Worth it's weight if you are given to wander like I/we do.
If there is a question you want to ask? Don't hesitate. Privately or E mail...hauptgw@gmail.com...or openly here.
