Should I replace my brake control?

I have a 1999 Suburban that came with a Power Stop Model 500-PS. It works, but I'm sure there are much better options out there. We're putting a lot of money into the trailer right now, so if I can safely tow with it I'd prefer to keep it for the time being. Should I have any concerns towing with the current unit?

    I cannot tell from that link if it is time based or inertial based. IMHO, $125 for a new Tekonsha P2 is a good investment.
