Golly, I don't know on RV's but with my car insurance there is a threshold that if you cross then it may raise your insurance. If you are below that threshold you are safe. I can ask my agent what this limit is and I have worked with my repair man to keep it below that level. If this damage is as minor as you think it is then you should be below the threshold. But, it depends on who fixes it. Some repair places stick it to insurance company's at every chance they get.
