Should we ban DHMO?

After reading the earlier kissing bug article I decided to spread the word about dihydrogen monoxide, an environmental substance that kills thousands worldwide every year. Should it be banned? You decide!

  • I've almost been killed by it a number of times. It's even more dangerous when it gets below a certain temperature.

There have been documented events of it causing explosions when it exceeds a certain temperature
  • Send obama an urgent message about this terrible pollutant.
maybe he can get it banned or at least taxed in Paris.

Having read the DHMO MSDS, I can say that there is NOTHING in those Material Safety Data Sheets that is untrue!
The only "hoax" is due to people without critical thinking skills jumping on the "BAN IT" bandwagon without knowing what they are actually asking to have banned!
That is why when first confronted with this foofaraw, I googled "DHMO MSDS" and read about it. I didn't have to read very far at all before I realized exactly what the MSDS was discussing, and realized it was all a joke!
The point of the whole thing is that people should THINK!
Altogether too many people don't think, they just react!

That's the whole point of my thread. Thank you Mowermech!

  • This reminds me of the Tonight Show (I think) skit where they set up a table on a busy street and asked people to sign their petition to end women's suffrage.

Many people signed it, including women.

I agree. Scarily enough, one of the top running presidential candidates trumps all the others in reacting without thinking. ;)
