Should We?
We are occasional campers. We've had a 35 foot 5th wheel which was just too large for the two of us. Especially when it came time to back that thing up our drive and to the side of the house :E ... so...

I’m in sort of the opposite situation. I’m a died in the wool camper and like my 16’ TT. The wife does, too, but she’s pushing for a Class C just to travel. Her argument is one could lie in back and sleep while the other drove, she could fix lunch while we’re traveling or the bathroom would be convenient while we’re moving. Also, it’s more convenient for traveling.
My argument is I don’t want to drive one vehicle and pull another; The C won’t go where I prefer to camp and the TT will go everywhere a C will plus many other places it won’t; What’s the difference between pulling a TT or pulling a toad; and is it realistic to think you can fix lunch and eat in a moving vehicle. I stop about every three hours for a break anyhow and why not do all that then. I admit there is some attraction to having all the facilities in the vehicle you’re driving, but when I weigh all the factors and add in the not insignificant cost it doesn’t make sense to me. So for now, at least, we’re in a friendly impasse.
Each type of RV has attributes that suit it best for different styles of “camping” and you need to know what your goals are to decide what will work best for you. And it sounds like you may not have done that yet as you haven’t indicated why your husband wants to go from the TT to a C. So I think you need to sit down and talk that out. And good luck with whatever you decide on.
