I was thinking the same. I have never charged pulling people with my tractors or 4x4 trucks. Never asked but if offered a donation I usually took it.
There is a difference between being a neighbor and pulling one friend or family member out and a whole field of drunk idiots. I side with Sidecarflip on this one. Do you guys go to work for free?
I do not work for free but I do not change my labor rate depending upon how deep your pockets are, how nice the car you drive is or how big your house is. Additionally if you walk into my shop and need help but cant afford to pay you can sure as hell assume that I will figure a way to help get you back on the road.
