We get instructions on the "right way to use 4wd" only in an emergency. When you work in the West, there are places to go that you can only be reached in 4wd. You have to use it until you get stuck and then get unstuck. After that you have to walk, use skis, or snowshoes. There is no one around so there is no help. It is the reality for a lot of people.
Towing an RV in the snow is not much fun.
Beware of anyone that says things like "my Jeep can go anywhere in 4WD low." Sure buddy whatever you say.
