We had a 3 part sliding glass door on our Greyhawk that was always a pain to open and close, especially if we weren't perfectly level. After having it repaired once under warranty and then 4 more years of hassle, we removed it and just put a shower curtain on a spring rod. Works great.

We too have the sliding glass shower doors in our rig. While they look nice, they can be a pain to keep clean, plus they are pain because one of them keeps jumping off the track when traveling. As you say, they can be a pain to open and close at times. They are still in good shape and look good and work well with regard to showering. However, when they "go", we'll replace with a nice Shower Rod/Curtain arrangement.
How about one of those hotel style shower curtain rods - whereas they arc out over the edge of the tub giving more "body" room. (Sort of the same basis as the "extend-a-shower".) We have that in our stick & brick. The one we have at home has two rods in one unit - one for a decorative outer curtain and an inner rod for the actual shower curtain. I believe that DW bought from JC Penny.
