Yes - physically removing and/or breaking up the clog is probably the only way to clear it up. In an RV, you don't have a whole lot of line to clear so that's good.
When I first moved into my house our shower drain was really slow. I was tired of standing in my own bath water and tried every chemical solution Home Depot had to offer. None worked. Ultimately the solution was to snake it. The snake grabbed the big chunks and broke the clog up enough that the rest drained. Going on 2 years now with no issues.
