Am in need of a shower chair or stool for the rv. All of the standard stools offered are too large to fit into the tub. Has anyone found one that will fit. The tub in only 13" wide and the smallest stool I've found is 17"

Look around for a plastic stool (step stool) that may fit. Some of them fold up but the more sturdy ones are one piece.

Go to a local woodworker and have one built out of teak.

I bought a black metal stool from walmart, 18in high, took the seat off (four screws) and put a silicone bead around the base of the seat to prevent water from getting into the cardboard seat base, and screwed it back down, added 4 larger foot pads to it and it works perfect, no rusting and plenty of room still in the stall! Total cost $17.00

What I did was get a plastic 5 gallon bucket and turn it upside down. Took the wire handle off for extra space. Not sure if it would fit in the tub though. I have a shower stall and just needed a way to sit down in there.

Excellent point Charlie, I did get a crack that I had to repair for that very reason, the much larger foot pads made a big difference and have had no issues since.

The compact stool at Amazon may work will have to re check measurements.
The one at Bed Bath and Beyond is way too short.

several years ago when I had my foot in a cast, I bought a stool similar to the one duck posted. bought mine at WalMart I think. plastic seat and metal legs.. it was only 7-8 dollars and available immediately. I don't use it in the shower now, but have used it when I had knee surgery so that I didn't have to stand.

I don't think the pressure on four feet would be any worse than standing on one foot in the Rv tub. I would just be careful to sit evenly when I sat.

Too low for me. Both hips replaced. Great idea.
