And now for my tip:
When you are finished using a tube and there is still some left, put a glob of vasoline on the end of the tip. Then either put some duct tape, the tube cap, a wire nut, or a small tightly wrapped plastic baggie held with a rubber band over it, and it will not harden up for another use even a year later.
