sites/forums to find a mechanic when out of town ?

Hi all,
I am on a long trip and having an issue - I dont need roadside assistance, but looking for your input on sites or forums to find mechanics in the area I am in.

Is there something like an Angies list for vehicle/truck mechanics ?
Does Good Sam have some service that could help ?

thanks - I'll do more research when I get to a hotel, etc ;-)

    Most communities have a "Pennysaver", "Scotsmans Press", "Bargain Sheet" or other publication that comes out once a week. Tabloid size with classifieds and business ads. I also use these to find local festivals, firemans fairs,have gotten some excellent food at small town fundraisers.
    You should be able to find these on the free racks and lobbies of stores and other businesses.
