Size of vehicle

I have a question. When booking a site and the place wants the size of the vehicle do they want only the trailer, or both the tow vehicle and the trailer?

  • depends on the campground.  most up here (BC provincial and national) are the rv only and then in the description they give you overall dimentions of the site.  b ut I have seen sites that will say max combined length of so much, and that you would have to park your tow vehiclein a different parking area if you were longer.

Thanks for your answer. I guess to be safe I’ll get larger sites, that way I’ll fit.

ya so all our provincial and national have asearch function where you can search for a site open on the dates you want.  part of the search is they ask for your rv type/size range.  they use choices from a drop down so tent/truck/van, 25feet/30feet/35feet, are kinda the usaly choices.  then in the site discription they tell you the physical size of the site.  so usaly if you pick a 25 foot, the graveled area is long wnough for your rv, plus has room to park the tow vehicle.

  • Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind when booking a site.

They want to know the overall length of the camping spot required.  If you want to keep the towed vehicle connected, they need that length.
