Consider me in the minority I guess. My last 5er had a slide topper and as it aged, it became a PITA. Unless you are able to install it with a steep angle, they stretch over time and hold water when it rains. The only way to prevent water lying on the awning was to set the camper up out of level so the water could run off. I've seen people putting beach balls, buckets and various other items under the fabric to take up the slack, but no matter what you do, it seems to be a compromise.
When we bought the new Fuzion last year, I decided that it just wasn't something that I wanted to deal with on this trailer. I have no regrets at all! I don't carry a big ladder with me, but I do carry the motor off my big shop vac which also can be used as a leaf blower. With the 3 step stool we have to reach the high cabinets and the blower, I have no problems cleaning any debris off the top of the slides and I didn't spend a pile of money on another worthless accessory that will eventually need costly maintenance and/or replacement.
