Slide topper/ freezing rain
RV set up at campsite w/slide out extended. Experiencing 31 degree temp and freezing rain. Icicles building on topper . Should slide out be retracted ?

Usually the ice melts in the sun or just cracks off when I retract the slide. That said we got some snow and ice buildup on the slide cover in Denver last fall. When we were ready to leave the cover was frozen to the top of the slide. I ended up using a hose to melt the ice and get the snow build up off.
