Has anyone here ever installed a slide topper on a rear slide? How did it fit and work? We have a KZ Spree 289KS with a rear bed slide. We are trying to reduce or eliminate the water getting in when we close up in the rain.

I wondered the same thing when we had our Jayco Jayfeather with the rear slide. We sold it before I did any real research on it though.

We have toppers on all four of our slides. They keep leaves and stuff off the top of the slide. The tops of the slides stay fairly dry, but the sides of the slides still are wet when we close up in the rain. We just wipe down the sides when we bring them in.EDIT: I just looked at your floor plan....how far does your bed slide out extend? Dometic slide toppers go up to 42". Other brands may be different.

Does a rear slide work differently than a normal slide? Or is it just a slide that's at the rear?If it's a normal slide, there's no reason I can think of why a slide topper won't work.

I have never seen one on a rear bed slide, they are pretty long.

40" is the normal max projection. I believe most rear slides are deeper.

We bought an Itasca Navion 24g earlier this year. It is a little over 25 feet long. It has a rear slide out bed. Part of the mattress folds back over the part of the bed that doesn't move. It is about 30 feet with the slide out. It has a cover over it. We have only used it twice. There was some wind each time, so my husband tossed some plastic rope over it and tied it down. It worked well.
