That's the first doc I went to. Eye Doc conferred with neurology and ran labs and then referred me back to PCP. PCP has referred me to ENT...and maybe neurologist next. I was just wondering if anyone else had ever had this. It would help to know what others did.

I have it just had a mri of the brain. I was having vision problems have small vessel disease. from what I understand there is not much that can be done. I have it around my heart also take renexa for that.It helps but not a cure all. I ended up with a tear in my eye not of the retina soft tissues which caused terrible floaters and flashing. Took a few months but is better.

I started having the floaters and flashing about 3 years ago. My ophthalmologists said it was a detachment of the aqueous humor...the eye gel. First it was right eye...then left a few years later. It looks like a cloud of gnats in front of me. They keep telling me that this is "normal as we age". That's a phrase I get a little tired of hearing. I know we "age" and things happen... but that phrase seems to have become a catch all.

Oddly... the neurologist countered the radiologists read and said he thought SVD in my brain was an "over reach" on the part of the radiologist. Go figure. cts
