I think that is the kicker right there. Shorter you go you give up so much and if you require 'this much space' to make using your RV a great, fun, comfortable time, then one can't go too short or what you said happens. You give up way too much to make it enjoyable as you want to camp.
If I could get my 32 ft toyhauler of living space in a 16 ft camper, oh boy would I be happy HA HA but it won't happen. It is rough when you want smaller but the space is 'just too small' for you and not comfortable situation you want.
