SMART CAR TOWING TRAILER INFO

We purchased a trailer for towing our Smart Car vs. all four wheels on the ground. This option puts no wear & tear on the Smart Car when traveling. It allows you to back up when needed, & cost just a little more than the Blue-Ox tow assembly, mods to front of Smart Car & breaking hardware.

Sorry I provided too much information for some of you. This was not meant to be an advertisement, but to give all I knew about the alternative and add on to the trailer options. The trailer has many other uses. It is basically a flat bed with built in ramps. You can haul two ATVs, Golf cart lumber or whatever. All other info removed by poster…enjoy
  • Ignoring the fact this is a blatant advertisement, I see no practical reason for such a rig. Contrary to what you imply, it is much more expensive than 4 down towing parts and accessories. It has a high inconvenience factor (makes that 24 foot truck camper 40 plus feet long, so you have to find either a site that long or jockey around the trailer and if you have a motorhome, you will need to use the mortorhome to jockey around that trailer, because I don't believe there is a towing package for a Smart Car). Also, it appears to be virtually useless for anything but trailering a smart car. At least a flatbed trailer can be used to haul many things. Decide the Smart car isn't meeting your future needs, the trailer becomes a white elephant. With 4 down towing, much of your equipment can be used when you change towed vehicles, not this trailer. Looks like a waste of money to me.
