Saw a baby rattler (12") heading for the shade of my MH. Got a fishing rod and tried to turn him around. He turned back to the MH so I kept flipping him with the rod into a field about 100' away. He was a really angry snake by the time I was done!
Last few years in CA we've been seeing a lot more rattlers. I think whats happening is there aren't more snakes, it's because of the drought there is less grass to hide in.
