Some people are quick to offend when they know nothing will come of it to them personally and they won't have to answer for their offensiveness. They are called "Keyboard Commandos" on many forums.
OTOH this forum rarely has anything that can be considered really offensive. Some of the forums that have teenagers and young adults(?) as frequent posters can get disgustingly offensive. Obscene flaming is considered the norm.
