As stated above, many don't read the thread, they just see the title or last post and react, posting the first thing that comes to mind. It happens when talking to people also, they are so busy trying to react to what you said that they stop listening to what you are saying. Often it is because they are not informed about a topic and don't really want to discuss it and reveal the fact that they have no idea what you are really talking about....
