I believe that forum rudeness is age related. The average age on this forum is older than many. I think older people have learned to censor themselves, and can usually find a non-confrontational way of expressing an opinion. That comes with age and wisdom.
Spend some time on a forum where the average age is 30 or less and you will see unbridled tongues.
