I did consider this option but have chosen the high road this time. They actually brought the personal attack here as well but the mod deleted it. Too bad, I was up for a battle of wits today and the other party was unarmed.

Somewhere or other I heard that this was against the rules here - to post someone's personal message in the open forums.

That actually happened to me once - a part of a PM I wrote was quoted out of context in a thread and I just blocked that member rather than argue.

Personally I just want to get along. I'm here to learn and to help - and sometimes to give or get a good laugh.

I have been made aware of the flagrant violation of rules this presents. Moderator notified me immediately of the violation. I have solved my problem by blocking all PM's. Their Forum, their rules, my PM's. Have not figured how Moderator got the PM in, but they did. :@

Very interesting considering there is no such rule about posting PM's. I just read the forum rules, seems someone is making them up as they go.

Yeah, I know - I re-looked at the rules and didn't find that either.

Try reading the very first one, they have the right to remove any post, anytime bet that covers it. :)

I have no issue with rule #1, but posting PM's is not expressly forbidden and that was incorrect information. A moderator may not allow the inclusion of a PM and remove but it is not a rules violation in any way, shape or manner.

One particular poster used to post such good helpful info for folks regarding his prior-prior truck.
Then he gets his prior truck and helps folks with questions as its a new engine for that brand.
Then he gets his current truck and now helps no one. :S
Had an issue with his prior truck and now "only" posts to throw out negative stuff about his prior truck.
Its become an obsession it seems and is kinda sad whats happened.

But as you said, into a sub-group only and "no" RVing type posts at all.
Why bother to even come on?

Seems as if a few trolls have been offended. It seems to me that if every time someone had a question and went to google or searched this forum then there might not be any more questions. What would the trolls do then? Maybe start a troll blog then they could all get together and count their posts, as if this matters.

When I was a young kid, my Mom told me "if you don't want anyone to know, don't write it down". That includes letters, diaries, etc. It's still true today.

I disagree. I've been on other forums with an average age similar to this forum. They are awful. The attacks, the cliques, the b**chiness, etc. The truth is, active moderators is the only difference.
