I suffered from sleep apnea and was a very loud snorer. I also could never remember my dreams and it turns out that with sleep apnea I was never reaching a REM state and so I did not dream. Sleep apnea sufferers are at a much higher risk of stroke as well as being less rested.
Have your husband tested as a first step. There are remedies which include surgery, which I had done, the CPAP machines, and an appliance that dentists are starting to sell. My surgery was 100% successful and 15 years later it is still effective. I took a chance with the surgery to avoid having to be hooked up to a CPAP for the rest of my life.
I am not entirely surprised but still dismayed by the juvenile comments made on this thread. It validates the old adage that people make think you a fool but open your mouth and you confirm it.
