Yes it is mainly fat people that have this but it's not just fat people.
I'm very athletic and not fat at all and I have it. The machines really do help.
very true about the wieght,a good cause but not all with apnea are overwieght.A bad thyroid is just another of the causes for snoring/apnea symptoms.
Get a good physical & sleep study if needed.
I have been on a cpap since 94.i was going to sleep if I ever got still for just a second & during the test the tech's werent sure if I actually had apnea since I only had an avg 15 insidences per hour,enough to mess you up..I can actually go a night or two without it now BUT I just dont do it.The newer machines are super quiet and very small compared to my 1st one.I keep one in the RV
