Hi Arturo ( and I think Pianotuna is also interested) So, below is a screen shot of the EVSE software that controls the charge for an electric vehicle. As opposed to developing any kind of hardware that would charge an electric vehicle while underway, really, the simplest, safest and best for the battery is to simply let the cars built in charger do the charging while underway. Simply running a cord from a sine wave inverter in the motorhome to the EV's EVSE, and then telling the EVSE how much current you will let it have and then the car will be charged (or at least more charged) at the end of the trip. No extra infrastructure required...well other than the extension cord. For faster charging, run the cord directly from the motorhomes generator. Or simply charge when you get there or at a public DC fast charge station. {S. This is all done from a smart phone.
Hope this helps.

How about starting a thread on the electric Smart Car. Are you able to charge it while trundling down the road?
A trailer that generated electricity via the trailer wheel hubs to plug a smart car into would be awesome. Would be a very cool mod.
Yah, I'm not sure that would work...or if it did it probably wouldn't be the most efficient way to do things.
Really though, the charging infrastructure here is so good that there always seems to be a level 2 charger close to where we shop....assuming you don't mind walking a few blocks. We still haven't paid to charge here (except at home). We use our RFID cards to unlock the charger and when we get back to the car and unhook, the charger always sends us an email saying how may kilowatt hours we took on and what the charge is...which is always zero. I think the shopping areas and malls must be sponsoring these things. Seems to work, we tend to shop in areas and eat at restaurants that have the chargers. Not sure it's intentional on our part but they seem to have us figured out. - John___AngelaExplorer

John and Angela, we are in the PS area for 3 months.... hold onto your hats, more rain coming on Friday! I love the snow, just far enough away so we don't have to shovel it, but get to enjoy it's beauty!
Every time I see a Smart car driving around, I look over to see if it's you.
Safe travels,

Heh heh. We actually don't mind the wet weather. Makes it cooler for outdoor stuff. We start to head north when it gets much above 25c.
Have a great season. - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIHere is a pic from Desert Hot Springs area on Dillon Rd 12/24. Same Mountain as shown above.
Too darn cold here recently!!!

J&A There is no way we want to be where you have to wear sweat shirts. Merry Christmas from Zihuatanejo
Arturo. Qué tal amigo. Sí, es verdad, hace más calor en Zihuat. Todavía tenemos planes de regresar a Zihuat pero por avion, no por Casa Rodante. Que les pasan un muy feliz navidad y prospero año nuevo. Cuidate amigo. Abrazos a Mexico.
