So. Ca. to McAllen, Tx.

In about a week my D.W. are driving our Class C from Orange County to McAllen, Tx. Our daughter and husband are being stationed there temporarily. Is there anything we need to know about road closures, detours, highway maintenance, Rv. Campgrounds-good or bad, etc. Using I#10, I#37, I#281, etc. Have never traveled this route--any suggestions, comments, etc. would be appreciated. Thanks, Lars

    Thanks everybody for the Info.--my Daughter and Hubby are leaving for McAllen today and we are leaving Sunday. Been watching the temp. in McAllen--definitely not So. Ca. weather. Thanks again:), Lars
