Wastewater handling is an unsavory task, yet there is no CDC warning to suit up. Why? Because it poses no harm. Urine is sterile, feces coliform bacteriae are present and critical to all our digestion. No infectious bacteria or virus exists in wastewater that requires more than basic protection. Plumbers 101.
Ever heard of a nurse getting sick from cleaning bedpans? A plumbers epidemic?
E. Coli.,AIDS, Ebola, Salmonella, measles, diptheria, all the plethora of health hazards known are due to other body fluids or forms of communication.
I'll stick to dumping waste, washing up after without worry.
Here are just a few of the very serious diseases that are transmitted through the Fecal-Oral route. One of the MOST Common routes of infection for things like Cholera. Having said that all you need to do is wash your hands and keep your mouth shut. You dont need biohazard level protection.
"Many common infections can spread by fecal–oral transmission in at least some cases, including:
Adenovirus, Campylobacter infection, Coxsackievirus (hand-foot-mouth disease), Enteroviruses, E. coli infection, Giardia infection, Hepatitis A virus, Pinworms, Polio, Rotavirus Salmonella, Shigella, Tapeworms, and Toxoplasmosis"
