So, just how "hazardous" can a tank full of poo be?
I saw a guy dumping his tanks at the dump station not long ago. Would have thought he was handling a major biohazard. First, he puts on one of those disposable white environmental suits. Then comes shoe covers, elbow length green chemical gloves and safety glasses. Last is the head covering. After dumping and washing down the area, he sprays the stinky slinky and wet bay with something in a spray bottle. Then he sprays down himself and rinses everything. Last he put everything in a trash bag.
I had bio hazard training as a part of my job and this guy's protocol was absolutely impeccable. It probably would have worked for Ebola exposure. I'll say that it did make for some good entertainment while waiting in the dump line.
Gee, is there something growing in those holding tanks that I'm not aware off? Don't think there is anything in there that I haven't been exposed to. There is nothing nastier than baby poo or dirty cat butt.
Maybe I'm a little lax in the treatment of dumping my poo. I don't wear gloves. After I finish, I wash up in the wet bay followed by sanitizer. Been doing it this way for years.
