I've been planning a trip for the last two years and health and grandkids and life just got in the way. Cross our fingers, it looks like we are a go for Feb 2017 and if all goes well, we will leave Washington and keep driving south until we hit some warm and then hug the warm until warm turns to hot and then and only then head home. Hope to see as many State and National Parks as time will allow. What are your plans for next year? Anything special?

This winter we will finish traveling and ride dirt bikes. During the spring we won't travel but will be riding dirt bikes. Come summer we may camp at in-laws and ride our dirt bikes. Early fall we will be heading west and riding dirt bikes and finish up 2017 in the south west.....yep.... riding dirt bikes. :)

Just made reservations for Balloon Fest in Letchworth State Park, NYI'm late, onle a few sites available for Sunday. Staying for 4 days.Waiting for reservation window to open (only 9 months allowed) for Letchworth State Park, NY 3 day Craft & Art show Columbus Day weekend.

Everything is always subject to change but hopefully one big long 130 day trip next year. Bermuda is hosting the Americas Cup yacht racing next June. The Tall Ships, square riggers like the USCG Eagle, will be here as well as the J Boats, Americas Cup boats from the 1930s & super yachts, boats over 80' long. All will be racing at some point all month long. I have a Skippers license so it would really be nice to get a job maybe running VIPs around in special launches being brought in for them.Early July we start our trip. From MD planning on first heading towards Canada doing a few music festivals then into Canada for a taste of Canadian music, some time in Algonquin PP, follow a bit of the Trent Severn Waterway, visit Ottawa then back into the US for a couple more bluegrass festivals in E TN.After mid September the real trip begins. Head to Albuquerque, NM. for the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta. Next, up to Boulder, CO to visit some old friends then back to MD for storage about early November. About 8000 trailer miles.

CampWorkCampWorkWork Work CampSorry Work is still getting in the way of camping.We are doing a cruise to Alaska in May and the Oregon Rally in May.

April to October traveling and seeing the wonderful USA.

Got a job, unpaid but who cares, as a spectator marshal for Americas Cup 35. They supply the boat, a 21'RIB, & gas. I get to run it & get better than front row seat to watch the racing while making sure the spectator boats remain behind the line of their area.

This should be fun in the extreme.

That is exciting! We got to watch it from shore in the San Francisco Bay. Those cats are amazing!

All the teams are here now. No formal racing but they are out there sparring with each other & buzzing any other boats that happen to be out. You can be happily sipping cocktails cruising along at 10knots & have one of these thing blow by less than 50' away at 40kts.
