At least that's what it was when the man retired at 64; next birthday he'll be 70. Apparently time marches on as you have fun. In our plans he'd of been better off financially waiting until at least 65 but his place of business closed down and he basically opted out of the workforce. Threw our short term financial plans off but yep nobody promised anyone a rose garden. I anticipate all will be back on track when I sell a property. I don't think the SSA statements discuss the highest amt ANYONE can make but only what YOU will get based on your input.

I am merely pointing out that you are giving the OP incorrect information by telling him the max monthly benefit for SS is $2500 a month :)
