Social Security question/ help please if you know

Several years ago I went to a Federal retirement conference. The speaker was asked about retiring early vs later, same as SS you get more $ by waiting. He said basically that the Brick Wall is coming. The Brick Wall is the day you will die. That does not change. So basically by retiring early you get smaller checks but receive them longer. Retire later and the checks are bigger but for a smaller amount of time. Same money in the end.
