I got screwed out of half of my SS benefit. It's the Windfall Elimination Program that got me. As an LEO I did not pay SS for my 30 years of service but did pay into a pension. Prior to LEO I had enough years working for the USAF to qualify for SS payments. But the government doesn't want me making too much in retirement so they cut the SS payout by half, money that I am entitled to but for my service as a cop. Sux.

What really Super Sux is, if you had sat in prison for 30 years and had enough quarters to qualify for SS, you would have received the full amount.
