I have a few in my basement as well. My deceased grandfather kept some plumbing tools in them. I inherited them after his death. He was Chief of Police in his town. I did not think to try to contact the owners of the milk crates to see if they still wanted them. Why? Because it's ridiculous. Since I'm confessing, most of my dorm room furniture was made out of milk crates. I apologize for any milk companies that met their demise as the result of my thievery.
