Soda Crate Moral Dilemma (& Informal Survey)

I have a couple of soda/pop crates in my storage shed right now that I got by simply asking a delivery driver if he knew where I could buy a couple. He reached in the truck and handed two of them to me at no charge. He told me once they get a little beat up they just stack them up behind the warehouse until there's enough to justify using the fuel to haul them to the recycler. He said to let him know if I needed more since they have several hundred awaiting disposal, and I'm just recycling them without the middleman. Would I keep one I found on the side of the road? Sure would...
