I faced a similar dilemma myself last summer. I was driving through Cawker City, KS, and my windshield wiper caught a wisp of straw. I thought nothing of it and after I had pulled over to remove it, it dawned on me that that wisp could have been from the World's largest ball of twine and should be replaced. Oh what to do, was it mine (NO), did it belong to Cawker City (PERHAPS). but how to tell.
I removed it and laid it in close proximity to the displayed ball of twine, being somewhat thankful that this type of situation didn't occur when I drove thru beaver, OK, where it could have been a left over cow chip from that year's chip throwing contest.
