Whatever he does, he has to live with his conscious. I'm just saying, if he goes against HIS better judgment, he'll have it riding on his mind for a long time. Be true to yourself. Keep it or send it back, either way, he needs to settle in HIS mind and heart what he can live with. MY decision was wrong for ME as I found out over time. Granted it was not anything to move the earth about, and absolutely no one was affected, except the kid who probably forgot the item, which he's probably long forgotten about already himself. Still, I've not forgotten my decision. The OP needs to find the best answer for HIMSELF so he can live with that decision and not have it bugging him for the next 20 years that he should have done it different.

It's not my call to figure out if he has a conscious or not. And if he keeps the box, I don't think the earth will come to an end either way. But, since he raised the question in the first place, tells me it's bothering him to keep it. Asking for a survey on these forums is a way for him to settle in his own mind it's OK to keep it, when deep down inside he's struggling. If he DID NOT have a conscious at all, he would have never even bothered with the question in the first place. So, yes, he has a conscious. But he has to settle in his own mind and heart what he thinks is the right move. If he goes against his own better judgment, he'll regret it later. That's all I'm trying to get across.

Keep it, or attempt to return it, a simple phone call will give him the answer and direction what to do. (considering it's bothering him in the first place). If he didn't care, he'd just keep it and would have NEVER even started this AMAZING thread to start with. He is a man of conscious with the devil tugging at him on one shoulder and the angel tugging on the other.

The simple fact he raised the question at all, tells me the whole thing is bothering him. HE needs to make the right decision for himself, not for us.
