Good suggestions all; I like the horse mat one.
BUT.....if there really is a HOLE (or holes) now, you need to think about your technique for when the thing stops moving. As in STOP SPINNING THE WHEELS.
A small depression is MUCH easier to deal with than a hole. Backing up and taking another run at it might have helped. This also gives you a chance to inspect the trailers wheels to see if THEY are sinking in too.
