I just got back from a 2-week vacation in Florida and returned my TT to the storage to find that someone is parked in my spot. I called the owner of the storage facility and left him a message, including an email with the boat registration number in case he keeps record and knows who to call.I waited about 1/2 hour and he has not called back. This storage place is owned by him, it used to be a farm that has both covered and uncovered spots, I pay for a covered spot and assigned that parking spot number. I parked in another spot that may be rented by someone else.I am a bit nervous to leave the TT in another spot because it if belongs to someone else you never know what they are going to do. Leaving the beast in my driveway is not much of an option as I start work tomorrow (Sunday) and the zoning board gets involved if a neighbor complains. I leave the TT in the driveway the night before I depart for some of my trips and that way it is not much of a nuisance, other times I just leave from the storage facility. Unfortunately I do not have any options to store it at home like some of you all.I found another storage place for the same money but it is not covered. The new place is so close I can bicycle there versus the 10 mile one-way trip. I am on a waiting list for that one.I am current on the rent and left contact information with the storage management. I am not sure what a reasonable time would for management to contact me about the parking situation. What is your experience if you had this happen?

This is where you CYA legally. Find a place for now, then ask the storage place with the boat in your spot for a refund. You are paying for that spot, and are unable to use it.Avoid parking in another spot... two wrongs don't make a right.

If there is absolutely no way you can leave your TT someplace else, then I would leave a note on it apologising to the owner of the spot you have occupied, along with a phone number where you can be reached.Not an ideal situation but you have to so SOMETHING.

I have seen it at my storage location, where they are supposed to be in building G65 and end up in building F65. So check your storage area. If the building next to you, with the same site number is now empty, and the boat might fit, they might have parked at the wrong building by mistake.Also find another location to move yours too. It might be along a fence, or someplace that management tells you is a un-rented vacant location. If you are in site T12, and the owner of site T12 arrives, they will not have a place to park either, and might charge you with any citations they received while parking someplace else!Good luck with your situation!And no - there is no requirement for management to return your call within 30 minutes, even 2 days. . . I hate to say it but this could be a job for the local sheriff/police, if the owner of the facility is not available. Lars

I will say this for the department I work in. We would in no way get involved with this. It's a civil matter between the OP, the storage owner, and the boat owner. Not a thing the police can do that I can see.

I will say this for the department I work in. We would in no way get involved with this. It's a civil matter between the OP, the storage owner, and the boat owner. Not a thing the police can do that I can see.

Don't every law around the country, but I do doubt that law enforcement will get involved in what seems to be a civil matter on private property.

It is a tough situation and hopefully will be resolved quickly.

I would have pulled the boat out in the open out of the way and parked my TT. I would leave a message with the owner telling him that I had to move the boat to get to my spot. Probably the boat owner just parked in the wrong spot.

Parking in someone else's spot just compounds the problem.

Take pictures of boat in your spot..........

Do you have a written copy...rental agreement/storage contract etc.---that shows assigned spot (spot number identifying specific spot)?????

IF you do............call tow company and have boat removed. DO NOT MOVE BOAT YOURSELF

Otherwise......park your rig in an out of the way area (along side driveway/in corner of parking lot on sight/not specific storage area)
Leave note on rig why it is parked there with your phone number.

And continue to blowup owners phone with messages/text.....every 10 mins.

Geeze, somebody parked in the wrong spot. It's not the end of the world, annoying, but that's it. Honestly, call the cops??? It's been a half-hour!!

I would park in an open spot like suggested with a note why I'm parked there just in case. Then move to my spot when the guy gets his stuff moved.

Some of you people sure get wound up over really petty stuff.
