Southern Colorado

Does anyone have any recommendations for southern Colorado? We tend to gravitate to small towns that have a lot to offer. We will be looking for a good campground or rv park with full hookups. It has been hit or miss on the rv parks. Some had good reviews and we couldn't figure out why, while others were a lot better than we expected.
  • We have been all over Colorado and our favorite by far is Ouray KOA. It is not your typical KOA. Great little campground in the woods with a neat little restaurant on site. Ouray is a very nice little town with lots of good places to eat. No chains, all hometown mom and pops. Just be prepared for the drive if you come in from the south. Google the million dollar highway.
  • Try the South Fork on Hwy 160 West of Walsenburg. Many RV spots and close to Creede, Pagosa Springs and many small towns with great things to do...don't miss The Great Sand Dunes Park...
