I've noticed in general, campers like to speed like a lot of other drivers. It makes no difference to them that they're in a congested area with potentially a lot of jump-out targets.
Same could be said about drivers that race down the rows in crowded parking lots at shopping centers, or worse the ones that save a few seconds by cutting across rows driving between parked cars rather than the 100 extra feet to get to the end of the row.
I've gotten honked at for driving too slow through a campground, and had people actually pass me by driving through camp sites. I pretty much don't need to use the gas pedal in a campground, idle speed on my truck is 7-9 mph and that's more than enough.
Lots of folks in a hurry I guess, maybe due to poor planning, or work/family related stress, or just plain stupid?
