I admire your energy. Enjoy the "go, go, go" side of camping while you can. When the kids are grown and gone, and you're older, you just want to sit and vegetate. It takes all the energy us older farts have to just get out of the lawn chair and make it to the refrigerator for another beer! .... however ... been there and done that ... and ... no regrets at all!

Still a working class citizen, but maybe not as young as you assume.
The younger (a girl) is in the Airforce. The boy has moved BACK home, but he does his thing, we do ours.
She walks several miles a day, but me...The knees and hip make the walk to and from the fridge a PITA, so her will bring me a beer if I holler out "WOMAN---BEER". Kayaking is tolerable because it does not require walking.
Please note I said we "run" if our purpose for being there is the AREA, not the camping. Even then, we tend to run every other day.
