I'm one of those that hates those that ignore CG speed limits. There's no reason to have to speed. Show some respect for your fellow campers.
Have only been to one CG where they told you at the gate to obey the speed limit. And as we backed into the site, the CG host came right over and the first thing he said is never go over the limit. Dust was the issue. Otherwise, have never ever once seen CG staff apprehend a speeder, let alone talk to one.
It's not just a potential safety risk, it's all the dust that gets kicked up. I can't stand sitting outside to a meal and some doehead comes flying past throwing up a cloud of dust over your table. Grrr. MHs seem to be the worst for dust.
We go to a CG that has lots of kids there, esp. in the summer. They often come flying out from nowhere onto the road. One day one of them is going to die. But then, they don't enforce any of their other rules like dogs having to be on a leash (ours got attacked and we know some who ended up in hospital).
Speeders, idling diesels, early morning or late night loud noise, off-leash dogs, plus a few other things - you have to learn to accept them if you want to stay at CGs. Some don't seem to have respect for others.
