This interstate highway is the the prime access to north and central CA.
Millions of dollars worth of farm produce coming from America's salad bowl in the Central Valley go through this highway every day.
Whenever there is highway closure in this part of town grocery prices go up almost instantly. Looks like grocers are just waiting for this opportunity. lol
Of course we can get farm products from Mexico and Central America but sometimes they run short and quality is not as good.
Yes, freight trucks is like an endless convoy no matter what time of day you drive...and it gets worse when these trucks are on their their way to America's largest harbor in the west coast... in Long Beach CA.
So, if you intend to drive to the South Bay area, it is best to avoid 605 Freeway.
