As I pointed to earlier in this thread: No matter what the involved drivers' ages are, the involved drivers' skills are, the involved drivers' familiarities with the routes are, how well maintained the involved drivers' vehicles are, what the weather and road conditions are, what the involved drivers' health/physical/mental conditions or lack there-of are, and what amount of onboard high tech safety gizmos on each involved vehicle there are ... there are no substitutes for driving at, or slower than, the speed limits and driving with plenty of spacing between each vehicle.
Ignoring these two factors is happening all the time and everywhere - including among RV'ers who, along with truck drivers - should know better. Barring a meteorite, a lightening bolt, an earthquake, a landslide, or a tree falling ... the laws of speed physics and spacing physics cannot be gotten around by drivers. I'll bet that even the first vehicular accident in the U.S. could have been prevented by even slower speeds or even greater spacing. ;)
