ST vs LT tires.
What is it about this subject that causes threads to close sooooo quickly? The last lasted 8 hours!!! before it was closed. So let's try this again, but folks - let's keep it civil. No name ...

Rather silly isn't it. Trailer mfg use P/LT and ST tires as OEM. And before the ST tire hit the streets we used nothing but P and LT tires (car or truck tires back then)

"Guys, after reading all the post I realized that I better get my owners manual out. The Goodyear Fortera tires were an option for the 2008 Domani. They came with a special chrome mag wheel from American Racing (8 lug 20 X 10" rim). The tire has a load range of 2756 lbs @ 50 psi. The axles are Dexter #11 Torflex rated at 5200 lbs. the manual also stated the importance of properly loading the unit before travel. The gross weight rating is 11,500 lbs.
The tires do not show a LT only the 285/50/R20 with a 116H. I think that contacting Goodyear is a great idea and I plan to do so.

This poor guy, and probably other Domani owners that bit into using optional P tires on 5200 lb trailer axles now is in a pickle. The size tire Carriage selected is no longer made.
IMO he like the rest of us will find a savvy tire dealer and they will install another P or ST or LT of their choosing and give the owner their blessing with the usual mfg warranty.
