I agree, been using hose little white sponges for years on the awnings. :C
I also use them on those hard to do stains... just do not rub too hard as you may rub through the top layer of the awning... DON'T ask me how I know this !! :S
On my last TT, I had some rather large stains that just would not go away... Someone told me about the erasers so I tried them...although you cannot feel it ,they are a bit abrasive .. I rubbed some of the color off my vinyl awning in about a 1" square ... I have found that they work GREAT if you just lightly pass them over a wet fabric... no rubbing needed under normal circumstances..
