Why don't you take a few minutes, figure out if there's a feasible alternate path and suggest it to the campground? There's a good likelihood that the person responsible for laying out the route didn't fully realize how difficult a path it is. I follow rules-religiously-and feel they are there for a reason and should not be broken. The suggestion to ask the campground first and use a spotter is the best one yet. I don't agree with those who say just do it. This isn't a case where "act first, beg forgiveness later" should apply.
