- Turtle_n_PeepsExplorerI'm super confused??
What happen to all of the open border people?
I thought all borders were bad and evil?
Maybe that left in 2015? Or maybe that was just coming into the US?
So there're good now?
I'm behind times and I need to catch up on this stuff! ;) - Boon_DockerExplorer III

One problem I see with the $ fine is many will say If I get caught, I can pay that. IMHO, much better would make them pay the grand, spend quarantine in a cell, pay the cost of cell and board, pay to store their rig, then escorted to nearest border.
That news story would do much to protect the rest of the world from the covidots this country grows.
Raise the fine to at least $2,000, impound the RV for 30 days and send them back to the border. After 30 days they would have to pay storage fees and arrange to have the RV delivered back home. - Darryl_RitaExplorerAnd Ontario; Here
- pigman1ExplorerYou can't cure stupid. After the 1000 bucks I expect they'll be escorted to the border. Getting into Canada may be interesting the next time they try it. Canadians have computers too.

Think I will just stay home and avoid Canada. - Blazing_ZippersExplorer IIGeezzee! We're in a sort of quagmire with restrictions--I do not believe we should just roll over and give up, BUT, if wearing a mask and trying to at least slow the virus down might get our countries back on track-why not? Canada has restrictions, so lets go with them. God save the Queen Hip Hip!!

Alaska has a 2 week quarantine also. Anyone traveling to Alaska from outside must quarantine for 2 weeks upon arrival. Were they traveling home to Alaska? Probably should have stayed put, or parked and flew home. Sounds like they deserve the fine.
Also, very surprised they were let in. I have a fried who was having a truck serviced in BC before the boarders were shut down. When he went to pick it up they would not allow him in to pick it up. He had to pay to have it towed across the boarder so he could take it home.
Kinda apples and oranges wit the truck problem. The truck was serviced IN BC, then he wanted to take INTO the US. This is about being IN the US and wanting to enter Canada.
There is a cross border agreement...people in Canada can use land travel into the US for essential travel. Same applies for US citizens entering Canada. The essential travel part seems to mostly apply to folks that are going TO home in Alaska..or going FROM Alaska to home in the US.
People are arriving at the CDN border crossing claiming to be going TO Alaska...when they aren't. Why on earth someone would do that is beyond me.
The odd thing is...a person can fly either way impunity.

There are fines for not quarantine for incoming travelers
Maybe rv net should make this Sticky
